SAM JEFFREY
by Lucas Grant
Our Honorary Make-Up Artist for the WFG Launch Party

My official job title is a "Skincare Specialist" for Clarins Paris, though I work as a freelance make-up artist in my spare time.
I got my first job with Clarins two years ago when I was studying Beauty Therapy, I then decided that make up was my passion so signed up for a Theatrical and Media Make Up and Hair course at Warwickshire College, and I am nearing the end of that now!

The best part of my job is meeting new people and seeing lots of shows and beautiful places! And of course the fact that I love what I do is a fab part of the job too.

To me, fashion is one of the ways for an individual to express themselves; as simple as that.

My inspirations are several members of my family, especially my mum and my brother, as they are kind, loving, and determined.

In the industry at the moment I don’t think there are specific trends. There will always be classic looks and more avant garde styles, however the classic nudes are very “now”. I love the nude look, with shimmer eye shadows and subtle coral shades for the lips; however, I do prefer to go with my own style rather than following the crowd – I am not a sheep.

My goals for the future include working for lots of different people, seeing lots of different places and eventually working for myself full time!

Favourite quotes: “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
